Do you think you'll receive Android Oreo on your smartphone?
Finally got the galaxy phone update in June, but still waiting on the Samsung tab A tablet update. Haven't seen a tablet update or security update for the A 10.1 since Dec 2017. Not all of us can bankroll a new tablet every few months...what gives?
My UK unlocked Samsung A3 2017 received it's over the air Oreo 8.0 update complete with June 2018 security patch on 24/06/2018.
why won't ZTE phones get the updates?
Absolutely abysmal service from Samcrap.
I expect Oreo to come up with eSsential improvements.
Thanks for sharing a such good information regarding Android Oreo. I like much about Oreo is control over the battery and security as well as adjustment of night light intensity. If you are looking to find a best antivirus app to secure your phone, then you can visit to these top 7 application.
go to hell samsung and all these other BS updates tricks crap im tired of all of it nothing but amoney game to them !
Updated alreday few weeks ago on Xiaomi Mi6 :)
Got tired of waiting a year for an update with bugs....
galaxy S8 / S8+ in Brazil have already received the update for Oreo, last month
As of 3/14/18 No update to Oreo for my AT&T S8 or my Note 8 ??? Are they waiting till after the launch of the S9 so they can sell more of those with the update already installed?
Would not surprise me. I was on the "beta of the Mate 9 (we only got ONE beta), but many did not get the Oreo "legit" until AFTER the Mate 10 was official.
Already received this update a month ago on my Xiaomi Mi A1
As of 3/7/18 ....I do not have Oreo on my Galaxy S8 or my Note 8 ??? When exactly is this happening...????.?.???
i received on my S8 and u dont loose nothing, many app. dont work after upgrade, so i returned to android 7
Nice!
Exactly samsung shouldn't rush? Ha ha ha ive got news for you they aren't in fact in the UK they've stopped the ota release because of problems. Typical samsung.
So you'd rather them continue with bugs and all?
What im saying is sony updated my xzpremium six months ago and with no bugs or problems samsung seem unable to do this! Not good for a manufacturer that supposedly is near the top???
Why so many complaints about how long it is taking Samsung to roll it out? Do you want it quick and had Pixel problems or do you want it correct?
I received the "official" update (version 360) for the Mate9, USA version on Monday, but I was also on the short list beta, which I ran from around November.
Had the oreo update on my xzpremium for four months now, sony showing samsung how to do software releases quickly and reliably for their topend phones.
Come on Samsung, the new update is out and on other phones, SO where is ours??? Why is Samsung always the last one to get update on software? I'm going to stop eating Oreos' if this keeps up. I have the new Note 8 that was supposed to have it when it came out???????????????
I wonder if I'll get Oreo on my s8+ before the release of the s9! Oh Boy!
The Note 8 wasn't supposed to have it when it came out. And how can you compare the most feature rich phone with those that do what the iPhone does. Do you want it fast and buggy or slow and high quality?
I have the Moto Z force 2 and I already got the Oreo update on TMobile 3 weeks ago.
I think they sold two of those, right?
The Android 8.0 update for OnePlus 3 & 3T is starting to roll out now, but my OnePlus 5 has to wait until at least early 2018 at the earliest.
you guys didnt add Moto G4 plus in the list. it has been announced officially they are planning to upgrade it to Android 8.0
Why is there no LG category?
Shouldn't the OnePlus 5 be receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update before both the OnePlus 3 & 3T, as the OP5 is the newest OnePlus handset to be released, and thus, is guaranteed to get the update first.
How to upgrade 7.0 to 8 in Galaxy A5 2016
Hi Salman, the update for the Galaxy A5 (2016) is not released yet.
Nice list. You guys should also add Sony to the mix...they are reasonably good about pushing out updates...unfortunately..my Xperia Z3+ has already seen what is possibly its last update with Android Nougat 7.1.1......
sony's blog confirmed update Android O
Thank you very much ??
I take it that androidpit dosent regard a lot of high end phones not worth a mention in this article?
Why no coverage of LG? I have read the V20 will get the update as well as the G5 and G6.
I dont think buying a Samsung s anything is worth it, they come out as a flagship device, then 2 months later they are just another smart phone. Why is my s8 only 7.0 nuget, when other android phones are 2 or 3 updates ahead, kind of disappointing . the battery starts to fail within a year. cant remove it, just a wast of money. im not impressed with samsung flagship phones anymore. gonna try something else.
My thoughts as well. I'm tired of my s7 onl charging 20% of the phone on a wireless charger. Going with an LG or something that can accommodate an extended battery.
I have an S6, S7, and S8 in the family and all three use wired and wireless charging Wirth excellent results (no complaints). Also the batteries last a good time. You might have some battery hungry app(s) sticking the life out of your battery.
Oneplus 5
When will Sony XZ premium get Oreo?
most people just blindly spend to satisfy shortcomings within self to make one feel better.
sooner or later phones will cost more than computers.
its not the point of android O, its the lame way that samsung waits for almost a yeat=r to update. even then its hell getting the update. why the hell dont they put on samsungs site a way to download the firmware with out no stupid ODIN or rooting.
I hope my S7 EDGE will be included in updates
I do not want to buy a new phone every year
Samsung will not buy anymore.
I AM SO WITH YOU. IT ILLS ME LIKE THE NOTE 8 HYPE, AS IT GETS RIDICULOUS. I HAVE A VERY EXPENSIVE ASUS GAMING ROG LAPTOP. I DON'T NEED TO SPEND 1100 PLUS FOR A NOTE 8. I have the s8 plus and its damn enough. im about over the OCD of compulsively spending 900 a pop every six months. IM done. i got my own version of a spen. a active stylus. do i need extra camera. hell no. 2 more gis ram maybe. NOT enough to get a car loan for a phone.
note 8, s8 also will and its sad but true no mention. and a few others like s7 and maybe s6 series. this article is not complete. look here for a list..........goto sammobile or google s8 and look for when you get update.damn thread wount allow links

that's a maybe. certain hardware works with the next O android.
We all went crazy thinking that Nokia was joining the Android smartphone market, but we still have no Nokia phone released yet in Europe,so Nokia might end up struggling again unless they sort themselves out, with people buying other phones that are available,so instead of getting 0 they might end up with Zero sales
What happened to the update for the honor 5x to EMUI 5.0~5.1 ? Promised, then when the update time was almost up, no. No matter, rommed it to 7.1.2 .
