Samfirmware got ahold of some pictures and details on a previously unseen device from Samsung called the Samsung S5830. The device, according to the source, is set to be revealed by Samsung at MWC in February and looks to be a miniature version of the Galaxy S in many ways.
According to Samfirmware, the device will have the following specs:
- Android 2.2.1
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- microSD and microUSB support
- 3.5mm audio jack
- 5MP camera with LED flash
In addition, Japanese site Tenaa already has some unconfirmed specs listed for the device, including:
- Qualcomm MSM7227 processor
- HVGA (480 x 320) resolution TFT display
- GSM, WCDMA support (1800MHz, 850MHz, 1900MHz, 900MHz)
Judging from some of the photos seen in the source link, there is also an external access on the right side of the phone for either a SIM card or a microSD card.
It also seems that Samsung can't manage to design products that remind users of the iPhone. The square metal button on the front as well as the metal edge and the appearance of the rear camera don't do much to differentiate the phone from Apple's offerings.
Hey Samsung, not everyone likes the iPhone design, and want to have their phone look like one!
