We already thought the resemblance between HTC's Blinkfeed and Samsung's new @evleaks on Twitter. Samsung may have beaten HTC to the punch on delivering this Flipboard-style UI to the market, but the resemblance is uncanny. Never mind that though, because @evleaks is also reprting a HTC One 2 mini.
The new Sense 6 home screen looks great – for the same reasons we like Magazine UI – it's open, clear and image-laden, just the thing to take advantage of a gorgeous new screen. Not everyone is a fan of Blinkfeed, or more specifically, the fact that on previous HTC devices it could not be disabled. But whether you're a fan or not, one of the nicest features to note is that the screenshot also shows full on-screen navigation buttons on a HTC device in typical transparent KitKat style. There's also rumors that Samsung will ditch the hardware button on the Galaxy S5.
@evleaks also dropped a cryptic tweet about the existence of an M8 mini. M8 is the internal codename given to the successor of the HTC One, which was codenamed the M7, the HTC One 2. The tweet specifically states it will be a mini, and not a compact. So any likelihood of the new One getting a full-specced compact version seem to be debatable. Even so, with Sony's Z1 Compact entering the market it seems likely that other OEMs will have to start rethinking the mini recipe of watering down their flagships spec sheet in their smaller framed offering.

What do you think of the new screenshot? What specs would you like in the next HTC One mini?
