The first real photo of the rumored Samsung Galaxy S7 may have just been leaked. Italian blog site HDBlog picked up the scoop from Vietnamese tech site, which seems to have a legitimate image of the upcoming flagship phone. The photo confirms much of what we suspected about the S7 design.

As you can see in the photo above, the volume buttons are in keeping with those seen on the Samsung Galaxy S6, while the rear camera sensor seems to be flatter than on the previous device – as suggested earlier by OnLeaks.

The device in the image also appears to closely follow the aesthetic seen in leaked press renders (seen below), adding further weight to the claim of its authenticity.

Speaking of weight, contrary to recent design trends, the Galaxy S7 also appears to be thicker than its predecessor. It's possible this is so it can house a larger battery.

Recent speculation suggests the Galaxy S7 will launch alongside the Galaxy S7 Edge in Barcelona on February 21, just ahead of MWC 2016. We'll be there to bring you all of the news. Until then, read about all the latest speculation at our dedicated Samsung Galaxy S7 page.

S7 is exactly similar to S6. not sure where this extra thickness is coming from. In fact the phone feels like edge more like S6 edge than S6 itself.

The best part is SD card slot that supports 200 GB ....128 GB tested and works fine and is actually faster in accessing and using the SD cards.

The Finger print scanner is the best we have seen from Samsung. Its not the swipe the finger anymore. Just touch and it unlocks.

Comes with Aarch64, 4 GIG ram, 6.0.1 Android and doesnt seem to carry too much bloat.

in a verizon network, the speeds are unbelievable. My note 4 had no legs to compete with S7 on browsing or using net.

All in all this is the original S6 ( or how the original S6 should have been)

Non removable battery makes sense considering the life time is max 1 year before the next device is out.

A bit thicker to me means more to get hold of. Phones were getting too thin and more chance of snapping/cracking. It looks slightly as if the back may come off, but too much to ask.
Wife has an S4 with a back like that--removable, and hiding an Anker 5200 mAh battery.

Could be due to the pressure sensitive screen they are known to add thickness?
