How to fix "process com.google.process.gapps has stopped"

Are you stuck with one of the following errors? Either "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" or "com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly"? These relate to the same problem and it's actually easy to resolve, so don't panic. In this article, we show you how to fix it.
Certain devices from previous generations, such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 or the HTC One M8, can be particularly prone to this error, but however, the problem can happen to anyone and the solutions are the same. So, take a deep breath and follow our instructions below carefully to get things working again.
Jump to:
- Have you tried turning it off and on again?
- Clear the cache of the troublemaking app
- Clear Google Services Framework data
- Reset app preferences
- Disable automatic application updates
- Restart Download Manager
- The last resort...a factory reset
1. Reboot your phone
I see some eyes rolling back there, but turning the device on and off again is always the first thing you should try in a situation like this.
- Just hold the side power button for a few seconds and you'll get the option to restart your device.
2. Clear cache of the app in question
If you notice that the error message pops up repeatedly when you try to launch a particular app, then chances are that this app is the cause of the problem.
- Go to Settings > Apps and find the app in question.
- Tap the app and then tap Storage and on the following page hit Clear cache. This might do the trick.
- If that still doesn't help, you can clear the data for the app, too. This means that you will lose any game progress or chat conversations, etc., so you might want to back up your app data first.
- You will find the Clear data (or Clear Storage)button above Clear cache (see the picture below, right).
If neither solution proves fruitful, the next step is to try uninstalling the app (which can be done from the same page as clearing the cache and data) and reinstalling it later.

3. Clear Google Services Framework data
If clearing the cache and data for a particular app, or even uninstalling it, doesn't work, there is another quick solution you can try.
This method will delete your Google Play Services preferences and settings but they are easy to assign again afterwards; you probably won't even notice it has happened.
- Go to Settings > Apps
- Tap the 3 dots in the upper right corner and select Show system
- Scroll through the apps and select Google Services Framework
- On the App info page, tap Storage, then Clear cache.

4. Reset app preferences
Another option would be to go to the Settings > Apps > All and reset the app preferences (the option for this is found via the three-dots / hamburger icon).
This will bring all of your apps' settings back to square one, but it won't delete any app data. In other words, you won't lose any progress you've saved.
5. Disable automatic application updates
This error often happens after an app has been updated, so if you turn off automatic updates from the Play Store, the surprise problem won't happen as often. You should still remember to manually update your apps anyway, when it's more convenient for you to handle the potential errors that may follow.
- To disable automatic updates, go to your Google Play Store app settings and deactivate automatic updates.

6. Restart Download Manager
Sometimes, the "com.google.process.gapps has stopped" error, can be related to the Download Manager app. Here's how to check it this is the case.
- Go to Settings
- Tap Apps
- Locate Download Manager and open App Info
- Disable it, then re-enable it and see if the error still occurs.
7. Perform a factory reset
Perform a factory data reset on your smartphone
If you're still facing problems after having tried all of the above, then you may have little choice but to do a factory reset. This is a drastic measure and there are consequences. All of your data will be lost. So you should perform a complete backup beforehand.
Once your data is backed it's time to do a reset.
- Go to your Settings and tap Backup & reset.
- Now, make sure the Back up my data slider is on.
- Tap Back up account to select which account you want your data backed up to. Ensure you have access to this account.
- Once you've done this, go to the Backup & reset menu and tap the Factory data reset button at the bottom.
Confirm that you want to do this, and your phone will be as it was when you bought it. Your data will be restored when you log back into your Google account.

How often do you see this error message? Did these tips help you fix the problem? Let us know in the comments.

Thank you David MacDonald, your solution above worked like magic.
This has basically bricked my phone. After a hard reset, I can't even get into Google Play to download my apps. It won't sign in to Facebook.
It turned my phone into a paperweight.
9-4-2018 and my ZTE straight talk prepaid phone starting having this mobile service problem,it wouldnt hook up to the internet or my straight talk service ,but i called the straight talk said was not something they could deal with and to try backfiling /restoring ,so i tried and got worse not says unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped. everytime i turn it on shows that and wont let me get pass it and if spam ok button i can see in the back no recent apps ,but it wont let me get passed the error message x.x" helps T^T
Why should I care? It come up every now and then, and when I turn it on. But so what?
You'd care if the error message was popping up once every second or two and it stopped you from being able to use your phone or tablet at all. That is why this article exists, not for an occasional popup, but for a constant barrage of error messages. But so what, right ; )
Thanks a lot: Clear Google Services Framework data did it for me! :-)
Great piece of info. Thank you very much,
Cheers
I am not even able to access the screen due to this continuous pop-up of the message. The display has gone totally unresponsive and I can't even follow the steps you've guided here... Please help. Something important is still residing in my years old device running Android Kitkat.
The above by David McDonald worked for me on my HTC M8:
Settings >
Apps >
All apps >
Google play services >
Tap on clear cache >
Tap on Manage space >
Tap on clear all data.
(I was getting a constant barrage of various 'stopped' messages, this seems to have cured everything.)
i just got the same issue but when im downgrade my google play service my problem settle
My tablet won't let me go into settings or any app for that matter. It froze at 6:32 and I had to reset it but then all of the notifications telling me that such and such stopped working. I've turned it off completely multiple times and it doesn't seem to work. Should I just let it die and see if that helps?
Same. Was trying out a few other ROMS but couldn't get the pen to work on my Note 2. Reinstalled the Factory ROM and got the same problem.
Deleting the cache worked combined with a factory reset (which wasn't a problem because I hadn't reset the phone)
Deleted it using the soft reset option:
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time:
Volume Up key
Home key
Power key
When 'GALAXY Note II' appears on the screen, let go of the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key.
When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home keys.
Press the Volume Down key to highlight 'wipe cache partition.'
Press the Power key to select and wipe the cache.
With 'reboot system now' highlighted, press the Power key to restart the device.

Hi, i wonder if this will delete all my data & apps and reset it to factory settings?
I have a SAMSUNG Android Tablet and i get this error every 2 seconds and i cannot remove it. Please help.
This happened to my wife's phone two days ago. The message kept popping up so we turned the phone off and back on. It started to boot fine and would display the typical welcome video but instead of android starting the screen stays on and black until the battery dies. The only way to turn it off is to let it die. I have let the battery drain completely and tried again. I tried it without the SIM card. Any suggestions?
This was an absolute god send on this shitty isopro 10.1 google craplet from alleged special offer site.....
I cant get to the settings because my tablet didnt get activated and wont go passed the checking connection part. Been stuck for months
what do you mean with your tablet didnt get activated?
Were you ever able to resolve your issue? If so, please tell how you were able to solve the problem. I have had this problem for 3 weeks now!
Thanks. My phone was caught in this mess a few times. In the past, I had to do a reset and was upset that I lost all my data. The above steps seem to have worked for now, so thanks so much!
this really helped me thanks a lot
Does anyone know what that horned figurine is on the left-hand side of the title?
Someone please help!!! This error "com.google.process.gapps has stopped" just keeps popping up, every second or so!!! I've managed to reset the hudl and it worked ok, but as soon as you power off and turn on again...the same thing happens!!!!! Grrrrrrrr driving my young daughter nuts!!!
Had this same issue on my Hudl. Go to Settings > Apps (app data & media content) > Apps (app data & media content) > find 'Google Services Framework' > then Clear Cache > then Clear Data. Stopped it coming up with it for me. If this doesn't work, I also cleared cache and data for Google Play Store. Hope this helps.
My phone shut down and restarted today with 18% power remaining. On startup, I get an alternating death spiral of "Unfortunately, Sense Home has stopped" followed immediately by"Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" and I can't proceed past them because they just keep kicking me back to the other message ad infinitum. I tried restarting again. Same thing. Tried a hard restart. Same thing. No way to get to settings or ANY other screen on the phone. I'm about to drop it in the toilet...
Hello! I had exactly the same thimg happen to me. When you're on the lock screen you need to swipe down and press the cog button. This will brimg you to settings. Then you need to go to apps - htc sense home- then clear data. This will default where all your apps are but will not delete anything personal. And it will stop the htc sense error messages. Then after this you need to clear the data on google play services. I can't remember what else i did, hope this helps
I had the exact same situation. For me, clearing the data of the triggering app worked. But yes, it did take some patience and agility to achieve it though! I completely empathize with your despair, but, unfortunately that is the only way if you would want to do it by yourself.
It happened to my tablet when my son installed Fifa soccer app on it. I tried clearing the cache which didn't work so then I tried uninstalling the app. This also didn't resolve the problem. Hence finally a total factory reset solved the problem.
I got that message repeatedly and then the phone turned off.Its not booting up now. What should I do?
i had to reset my tablet and it worked.
i see the error message every 2 seconds
Did you find a fix for this???
i have tried all these method but my problem still remains...
Hi did you find a fix for this?
None of the above worked for my Hudl 2 including factory reset and updating everything, the error message kept popping up and popping ..... however i found these instructions and it seems to have done the trick . .. . you have a 1.5 second window after each pop up to tap each option listed below, got to be quick on the draw each time but this worked . ..
Settings >
Apps >
All apps >
Google play services >
Tap on clear cache >
Tap on Manage space >
Tap on clear all data.
This helped me so much last night ... I worked out that I had a small window to do things then found this ... Thankyou foe saving my phone! Worked for HTC One m9
Gr8. Thank you David.

i have tried all this methord but my problem is not solved, plz suggest me ...my mobile is HTC desire 616 there is one massage continue coming ,Unfortunately, the process com.htc.opensense.social has stopped. plz give me solution....
Hi, this worked for me to, but when I turn hudl off and back on it comes back!!! Heeellllpppp!
David - many thanks for the advice. My problem was also with Hudl2. It seemed like I only had a one second window. I couldn't have sorted it without your help. Unfortunately I think my Hudl2 is on its way out. The wifi connection is intermittent and dropped connection when I was updating play store. Once again thank you very much for helping me.
Thank you for the fix. I also tried every other suggestion without success. Your information fixed the error, and it hasn't come back.
Thanks it worked
David: This works like a magic wand for my HTC One M8.....thanks for sharing :)
THANK YOU!
Thank you it really worked
Thanks for jogging my memory about the fact that this is what I did LAST TIME, about 6 weeks ago. My HTC M8 gives up the ghost if power <20% and any app with a significant draw (e.g. camera) is used. When it comes backup all the permissions are messed up and two of the last 5 times (in about 3 months) this error has started. Apparently, from what I've read elsewhere it is a Marshmallow created bug (along with Verizon using the update as an excuse to disable my FM radio). Last time this crash cost me a day of work (I'm a consultant and can't be without a phone). This time will cost me less because I'M DONE WITH ANDROID, I'M DONE WITH VERIZON AND I'M DONE WITH HTC. AND AS FAR AS IS POSSIBLE I'M DONE WITH GOOGLE TOO (total divorce will be impossible unfortunately). Going to buy an iPhone tomorrow - not a big fan of Apple but at least my 7 year old iPad still works while I've gone through 4 android phones in that time. NEVER EVER AGAIN. ANDROID SUCKS BIG TIME, GOOGLE PRODUCTS IN GENERAL SUCK AND AREN'T PROPERLY TESTED, AND HTC HARDWARE SUCKS. VERIZON as a service is fabulous, as a company...you guessed it, they SUCK TOO and have no moral compass. Android might be great for casual users or hardcore tinkerers, but I subscribe to the notion that when you fork out $700 for a piece of hardware, it should work and updates should not disable core features or deprecate the device. Rant over.
Thanks David...worked great. Very much appreciated
Thank you for your clear sequence of operations; the time window was sometimes less than a second - but finally it works!
The phone is an HTC m8 with Android 5.1.1.
This worked for me on my Jiayu S3 (on Android 5.1.1). Thank you so much!
My catch is it is happening after a factory reset when trying to sign into google. So can't get phone to work at all now.
Ok here's the catch .I tried this method but it didn' t work . I had my friend's phone he unrooted it or deleated apps that was not known to me .The error was gone after installing google services framework was installed by me .I found it on xda developer forums .
Thanks for reading
Hey, could you help me with a link on that? Thanks!
Clearing Google Play Services Data helped me fix this!
Thank you so much!
Thanks a lot sir..really it worked for me..
how do i know what app it is it just keeps popping up every few seconds and Im not in anything
I'm having same problem Brian, did you manage to fix it? iv'e wiped the whole thing (Hudl 2) and still no Joy
Worked great but now it says unfortunately sense home has stopped
It didn't help and I can't uninstall the app!
I've been struggling with the cascade of "unfortunately" notices. None of this cache clearing and settings stuff works although multiple sites claim it is the answer. What you can do is a clean boot, then refuse the Google account registration on sign up. If you're using gmail you'll have to go in through the webmail version. Chrome doesn't recognise your bookmarks. Apart from that, ah the bliss of not having those pop up warnings after every touch of the screen.
What if this error keeps coming up, for every process I have, repeatedly.
I cannot stop these error messages from coming up, so I can't even go to settings etc...
Please help :(
Thank you in advance guys!
This is also happening to me. I tried hard reset so stuck on language selection page and can't get past because of all the error messages. "com.google.android.gsf.login" just take me back to picking a language. Prior to hard reset, I've tried reinstalling google play services, clearing all caches & unmounting SD card.
Personally, I just took it back to the phone shop to get it checked out. Turns out it's an internal virus that corrupts everything. Take out the cards, like SD and SIM, as soon as possible as it can render them useless. Go to the phone shop wherever it may be and get it checked out, though you should get a new phone.
Absolutely excellent advice and instructions. Everything now appears to be working again just as before the message started appearing. Thank you very much for the time taken to provide this solution.
I tried everything on this page short of uninstalling Google Play and Google Services (I'm worried I'll have no way to get them back, and I'd never be able to download again). And I don't even see anything that's “Uninstall app”; all I have is “Uninstall updates.” Are those the same?
I cleared the cache and data for Google Play Store and Google play Services about three times, and data keeps loading back (which I don't understand how it could when I don't do anything with the apps). A minute later, another few popups. I force-stopped the Play and Services apps several times, and nothing. I thought I'd try to go into Google Settings, but I can't even access it—I'd tap on the icon, but it would just fade to the home screen, and the “services have stopped” thing would pop up again. I lost the ability to access one of only two successful app downloads. When I tap on it, the alert pops up; I tap “OK”, and then it's just a black screen that never loads, but eventually closes to reveal the All Apps screen. The other successful app download still works, but every time I open it, the alerts return. Even with the app closed, the alerts pop up. I cleared the Cache in Storage, and that didn't work, either.
Help!?
it works like a charm
well it worked
after returning the first phone, thinking it was defective, this tip resolved the problem on my replacement phone. now I'm going to tell the seller what the real problem was. this is great.
None of your tips even work?
They just don't know how Samsung S5 I know thati mine is that fucked I have to go and use it computer to install fiware and no one can tell me a site that has it to download. I've installed the Odin software.. But Samsung is not giving me the correct Australian code...
I vwmto fix it. Same problem with
Just Go to application manager --> Google Play Services --> Clear All data
Also go to Storage --> Cached Data tap on it and clear
You're my hero, dude
I tried resetting my ASUS tablet to factory settings which should clear everything but it didn't work. Tried two times and came back after each time. So I never cleared the cache, because resetting to factory settings would have overridden that. I sent the unit back and got a refund. Was defective in my opinion. But good to know this solution on this site in case you do ever get this problem.
Thanks. Clearing the data in play services sorted the problem in HTC M9. Message kept coming up every 2 seconds but thanks now ita fixed.
Thank you so much ! Your solution solve my problem... So happyyy
Your solution 'Clear Google Play Services data' worked for my son's tablet (an Opero running Android 4.4.4) so that had a minimal impact on loss of anything ie he still cant see what was removed!
Many thanks.

Derek
I reset my phone coz I was getting that error message.so now things are back to factory but I still g t same error message.I am trying to do that clear all data thingy but it won't open up. Instead of directing me to be hat window where I can clear it,the error message pops up. I cannot open google play store, browser and almost everythinI don't know what to do anymore.please help me.
same i factory reset my tablet and now all that keeps popping up is that error message. Is there a software or something that would clear it? Please respond ASAP Anybody....Thanks
It happens repeatedly on my Galaxy J7.
Found a way. Goto applications : all: Google Play Services : Manage space : Clear all data. Voila.
Thats what did it for me. Thanks!
Hudl2 once the best tablet in the world, then along came Lollipop!
I managed to stop the notifications from popping up by disabling/stopping Google Play Servcies. I can at least text/use apps now.
If I enable it will it start with the errors again? Where do I "clear all data"? I'm on an HTC one M8
I tried the way It said to, but it kept popping up. Thank you Aayush for your contribution. It stopped the App from constently popping up. Had to keep hitting the Pop up and then where I needed to go, to navigate through the menues. but Its Fixed!
Thank you so much, that what did for me.. Am so happy right now. Aayush.., hope this message popping up not come back again.
There is no "Manage space" option in google play. only clear data and clear cahe and both did not work.
It is google play services... not google play.
Thanks, Aayush. Worked for me too.
Nothing is working please someone help me
Yep, exactly as you said! Disable and then re-enable again. I have an LG, and I had this problem before a few months ago. That time, I did a factory reset, and lost most of my info. Someone told me it was probably an issue with the Google Play Store, and maybe it wasn't updating properly. Sure enough, no problems now. THANKS!
tnx for helping but it dosnt work
You have to isolate the specific app that's causing the problem. If it's the Google Play Store, that will throw a lot of things out of whack. Mine wasn't updating, but "re-enabling" it did the trick. Good luck.
tnx for helping but it dosnt work :(
Thanks
It literally doesn't even work. Definitely switching to iPhone. Once this Google.gapps thing starts popping up your phones basically fried. Android sucks, lol
hey look, your car tire are flat. u definitely have to buy new car
1.Look under applications, 2 manage applications. 3 uninstall Google play services 4. Take a breath

When this message com.google.process.gapps has stopped come All Of my Apps Stopped please help me, an my phone doesn't work
Why the error keep reappearing and I cant connect to any of google services. My device is MyPhone MY22, running a default Android 4.4.2. Here is my story up to the present.
First, I rooted my phone for some personal reason. Then I installed lucky patcher. After trying to patch google play and got error, I cant install anything. It always say Package Installer has stopped. I try on download manager, same happens. I then try it on File manager, still nothing. And because I am afraid, I reset my phone to factory settings. It removed the installation issue, but it began giving me errors like com.google.process.gapps has stopped, Google Play Services has stopped, Google Services Framework has stopped.... and many more. These errors apppear everytime I open an app. I try connectin to google but it says cannot connect to google servers. This is very annoying, I cant open google play. I've been having this problem two months ago till now. I reset my phone about 15-18 times and rooted and unrooted with Kingroot, nothing happened. Restored back lucly patcher's modifications, still got nothing. Now please tell me what ia going wrong. I really need it to save my CoC game progress
Install es file explorer and give it root acces. Go in device (from es file explorer) and go in system>app and find play services. Delete that play services and reset phone. Than install version 5.6 or the oldest version what you can find in apk mirror site. Than if you want (not necesary but need) install "root cleaner" and do a full cleaning (it need a root acces) it will clean all your trash in SYSTEM. And then you can instal newer version of play services.
I know what i am talking about because i had the same problem. And fixed it alone.

I have my Micromax A 100, which I rooted, and now Is showing this errors continuously, which is embarrassing. Not even the IT Geeks are able to solve them and they said that it's impossible to revert back to the default settings. Can you solve the issue?
Thank you Have sorted out the Google process problem thanks to your advice Awesome dude :)
My phone is a Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy Ring, and for whatever reason, i go to fix this error and my phone /repeatedly/ restarts and won't let me access the settings to fix it without restarting first. Someone help-?
None of above suggestions worked for me, actually along with this irritating error my phone was not able to sync with my google account, play store & google apps can't be opened and there was no chance of updating google play service via other route. Factory reset last option worked for me though I lost my whole data. But I learned something,(I am lollipop android user) never ever update your Google apps(You may need to uninstall updates later on) or if you do so, update google play services also, In my case, updates went automatically without automatically updating google play services and problem occurred and I was clueless and frustrated.
Galaxy Note 3 running OS Lolipop
That pesky dialogue box was reappearing at an alarmingly fast rate, it rendered my device almost unusable! I tried all suggested steps to no avail, it even had my telecom provider techies stumped; then I tried one simple task;
Internet
Settings
Privacy
Delete personal data (not that I was worried about losing any, after all it is only browsing stuff. If I'd performed a Factory Reset I would have had to restore all of my backed-up files etc.)
It worked for me, so far so good!
Hope others find this useful too
Where, exactly, do I find these settings? I have an Android ZTE, a refurbished model that I bought through Tracfone as it's all I can afford. I get these error messages every few seconds now and NOTHING I have tried is working. I'm ready to smash the damned thing with a hammer and go without a phone entirely, since I can barely use it anyway.
Didn't you lose all your contacts when you did this?
Thanks, it worked. I did what you said on internet, which doesn't even matter in the least as I use chrome.
None of the things worked ..... help!!! damn annoying, even the Samsung live chat support do not know how to fix it??? they asked to reset factory setting. done and still same error pop up ....
None of this is working!!! The error message is keeping me from doing anything with my phone!! Im getting really frustrated and I dont understand why none of this is fixing my problem! It came out of nowhere!
Same thing has just happened to my wifes phone :(
I got my wifes phone back in order. For me, the solution was to Uninstall Updates for the Google Play services application. Other solutions around the web said to disable or clear the cache for this application, but neither of those things worked for me (I couldn't disable it at all, clearing cache did nothing).
Repeating, my solution was to "Uninstall updates" for the 'Google Play services' application, then run the updates again. I had also signed out of the Google account on the phone, but I'm not sure if that was necessary
Not working with Samsung S3
I did this and it made the errors even MORE frequent. Nothing is working! Can anyone help me out, or do I have to buy a new phone? I can't afford a new one.
Keep tapping.till you get frustrated.. and if it still doesn't work, u are not frustrated.. continue pressing Ok.. and hope that should resolve. Worked for me.
None of the above have worked for me and I've tried 1000 times since every trusted forum gives the same advice. I am not able to re enter my Google account either. I am so frustrated!
Hi there I recently had the same issue with my S3 and after scouring the internet and trying many suggestions I managed to fix it. To be more specific not only was my phone showing this error but it also failed syncing my google account and apps which connected to it such as youtube and maps were failing. To fix I uninstalled updates on all google apps (go to settings/application manager/all and then click on each app and an option to "uninstall updates should be available) after that i then cleared the cache and data for each app which can be done from the same area you UnInstall Updates. You then need to Manually Install an update for "Google Play Services" do this by searching for the apk on the net. Make sure you go to your phones settings/security and check the unknown sources box so that you can install the update without using the play store which will probably be screwed at this point. Once the update is installed delete your google account, restart your device and then re-add your google account. After this check the apps that were bugging or try downloading/updating an app in the playstore (also when you re-add your google account the sync should work normally). Hope this helps!!
Not working ... error still pop up ... how to Manually Install an update for "Google Play Services" ??? any trusted web that you downloaded from?
Wendy, might need to reboot into 'Recovery', and clear 'partition cache'. Then reboot back into android OS. hope that helps.
I have this same message. I am not able to get to settings and app manager. When I try to go to settings, I am get an error message that settings has stopped, just the same as the processcom.google.process.gapps has stopped. Any suggestions for me? I have Samsung Galaxy 3.
I've got an legacy Huawei Android model (U8652) that now frequently experiences these issues but the suggested resolution has only created more of these problems. However, maybe the problem is due to age???
Thank you guys, this post solved my problem
Don't worry, go to SETTINGS on your phone, open APPLICATIONS, there you find 3 tabs: DOWNLOADED, RUNNING & ALL. Touch the ALL tab & there find all google related applications, especially Google Play Store, Google Play Services, Google Services Framework. Open each one in turn & clear DATA & CACHE in each case. Do the same for Browsers, too. Reboot your device & see for yourself.
I got rid of that error message in this way & it is now 4th day, the message never appeared!
Goodluck :-)
Oh! It worked............ thanks a lot
not working ... error still pop up
Usually it's a permissions problem. Also, the older systems, have problems when google pushes updates, of their core apps. Because I'm rooted, I can push the older apk, from a backup, install it, and it's fine again.
I have tried both those solutions repeatedly and neither are working.
Is there anything else I can try. (other than a hard reset)?
Thanks
hello unfortunately non of your suggestions worked or any of the suggestions that I could find have worked. I have done a full Hard factory reset + safe mood cache dump and the error poped up with in seconds of booting up my phone. i'm currently using a LG optimus F3 from Virgin mobile And version 4.1.2, Ker 3.4.0, build jz054k, software version LS720ZV6, baseband version M8930BAAAATAZM-3.2.2471
plz HELP!
Hi, I have a samsung galaxy tab2 (10 inch) and after have been experiencing the google apps process error for sometime. It comes up pretty much every other minute when Im surfing the net. I previously looked up the "fix" and it didnt work. So I did a complete restore of the tablet and had to reinstall all apps again. Its started again now, I wonder whats the solution now? If anyone can provide another workable solution it would be great... as enabling and disabling in application manager doesnt work on my device. Thanks in advance.....
I have tried all of these fixes on my LG2 and still having the same problem!!
"Regardless of what device you use, this is actually quite a simple thing to fix."
Oh really? You are much too confident in your abilities, Loie Favre. Your suggestion had no effect on the "process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" error that my device is throwing.
Hi David, Thanks for your feedback. Can you be more specific about the issue? What device do you have and version of Android it is running? Then we can try and find a solution. Have a nice day.
Hi there! it's bee over a week now since i fell into this disturbing issue which renders the phone almost fun-less. I've tried all of the steps quoted above, but this won't solve the issue with my device. I have a Samsung galaxy note 2 SC-02E. My case seems a little more complicated as I can't find the DOWNLOAD MANAGER APP , on my device when i get to the list of all apps, as shown in the pictures above. I'll be grateful if anyone could suggest further on how to go about this. thanks already for all the proposed solutions
This does not work on my LG phone. Not only that but the LG setup wizard also fails.
Never happened on my iPhone, strange...
