Here's what the new Galaxy S10 Plus should look like

It's an open secret. Samsung is actively working on the successors to its Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. 91Mobiles, in partnership with the famous leaker Onleaks, unveiled today some renderings of the upcoming Galaxy S10 Plus and a video. Enough to whet your appetite before a probable presentation at the next Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next February.

A hole in the front

A few months before its presentation, the first renderings of the Galaxy S10 Plus have already arrived, so this Galaxy S10+ has a completely bezel-less design that is very attractive. Overall, the smartphone takes the general lines of previous generations and purifies them. As expected, the Galaxy S10 Plus will feature a hole in the front screen. This will make it possible to hide the dual camera in particular.

For the rest, we find a beautiful 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a QHD+ definition. The dimensions of the device remain quite limited with a size of 157.5 x 75 x 7.8 mm (thickness going to 9 mm at the level of the camera), while the Galaxy S10+ would still offer a mini-jack socket but also the Bixby button.

Triple camera in the back

The photos published today confirm not only the appearance of the camera but also the presence of a triple photo sensor at the back (16MP + 16MP + 13MP). After the Galaxy A7 and A9, Samsung continues its momentum by offering more photo modules. Finally, as a reminder, this Galaxy S10 Plus should include an Exynos 9820 processor, 6 GB of RAM and a 3700 mAh battery.

What do you think of this LG G7 ThinQ?

  • It's funny how every time Samsung brings out a new device we have people stating that they hate it etc and say that "their version" is the best.... Until they have to upgrade then its suddenly the best but the next new one is worse again.

I'm sure the same people complained when the S7 was the last device without the "edge - infinity" display, that it's a pointless design feature etc, but after 2 years of using the infinity display have proberly forgot how the S7 feels/performs.

Removable battery... Remember when this was a deal breaker, a reason to ditch Samsung, how could we possibly maintain a smartphone without the ability to open the back and replace the battery?

Now granted, we're at a stage where Edge to edge screen without a bezel is where the market is going, which presents a problem with the front camera/sensors.

So should they have a S9 bezel or a notch or a "hole". Obviously until we see a finished device we don't know how it will work, though personally I think a thin as possible bezel is probably the best option.

As with the cameras, if there is a genuine photography reason, in that it improves the quality of the photo then ok, though I'm leaning towards it being a marketing tool.

Regardless it seems that smartphone design is stagnanting, in the same way as tablets, laptops, PCs and to a extent Games consoles. The drip drip upgrades are running dry.

    Peace 🖖

  • Superb information..

  • I don't need a hole or a notch. I don't need 5 cameras either. I'll keep my s9+ with it's 3 cameras & no notch or hole's. Dig a hole & bury the notch too. Yikes!

I don't know! The O looked ok but that oval looks worse than a notch, and has the same effect on the display. I think it one ugly phone. Good luck Sammy you need it. Giving us all the gimmicks when all we want are the basics.

    • I totally agree with you. Too many gimmicks. That's why I chose the 9+, duel cameras, good stereo speakers. Does the average consumer need 5 cameras. The multiple apps needs to go! Definitely stick to the basics!
