NewsTabletFlat Design For Samsung’s Galaxy S23 FE Revealed in Renders
With Samsung will most likely drop the Galaxy A74 from its 2023 premium mid-tier lineup, it is expected that the Galaxy S23 FE will take the helm in place of the canceled device. A set of Galaxy S23 FE renders has been shared, revealing the updated but familiar exterior alongside some details of its hardware specifications.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE was featured multiple times in leaks and reports over the past few months. There were even whispers going around that it would not even be launchedall. However, recent developments suggest that the more muted version of the Galaxy S23 (review) is edging closer to its launch. This is supported by the latest computer-generated pictures courtesy of OnLeaks.
What’s new in the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE?
Based on the leaked information, the Galaxy S23 FE is heavily inspired by the minimalist look of the Galaxy S23 (Plus), which is currently the universal design language shared with the Galaxy range, including the Galaxy A54 that nextpit recently reviewed. Basically, the back accommodates a triple camera array with individual protruding rings. Meanwhile, the sides where the buttons and port are positioned appear to be noticeably rounder.
When it comes to the facade, the budget flagship Android phone has a flat display with a centered punch hole camera. It has been speculated that the front display measures 6.4-inches across diagonally, housing a fingerprint sensor beneath it. Additionally, the bezel on the chin looks slightly thicker compared to the vanilla Galaxy S23.
Beyond the design, Samsung’s Galaxy S23 FE is widely rumored to be fitted with a dated Exynos 2200 SoC rather than the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 silicon. On the other hand, the camera department is touted to see an improvement with the inclusion of an upgraded 50 MP primary shooter paired to an ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. The battery and charging speed, however, could remain unchanged at 5,000 mAh and 25-watts, respectively.
What are your thoughts about the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE’s design? Is it OK for Samsung’s phones to share a universal design language? Share your opinions with us in the comments.
