Two Toshiba Tablet (AT200 and AT300) and three tablet ASUS (Pad Transformer TF201, TF300 and TF700), this is for now the small but valuable list of devices that will be updated later this year to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. And other companies? Samsung is releasing Android 4.0 ICS in these days of some of its devices (Galaxy notes, for example) while on the first information leaked Acer. As revealed today by our Dutch colleagues TabletGuide, Acer had informed (by telephone) to the drafting of being involved in the development of a software update to improve the user experience of its tablet Iconia Tab
At present there is nothing concrete: do not know the release dates or tablet involved, although the timing of the update of Jelly Bean is being defined. The Taiwanese company is considering the models to be updated, depending on the hardware features. From first impressions, however, Acer expects to install Android 4.1 with no problems in JB latest tablet, while older models require further and careful study.
The Taiwanese company will in fact take several tests on the compatibility of Android 4.1 on hardware rather dated and communicate their choices in the coming weeks. According to these words, we can imagine that between the tablet “at risk” there are for example Acer Iconia Tab A100 and A200
