How long do you expect your phone to last ?

I usually change them every 2 years, except for my last phone which is with me for 4 years already

It's normal especially considering nowadays' 2-3 years cycle of updating the phone. So, after mentioned 2-3 years you buy a new phone with all new updates/new soft and new hardware including a new battery. Don't forget that apps improve and take more charge with almost the same battery sizes

i do think that a phone should last around 4 years

I charge my phone once per day. And the phone battery usually lasts all day. I guess it's because I don't spend much time on games. But according to my past experiences, usually 6 months after purchase, the battery charge could not hold strong as long as it originally did. Perhaps smartphones do have a usage expectancy.
After all, it would be great for me if a smartphone can last roughly 2-3 years.

Smartphones companies guarantees say that the battery will lost no more than 20% of it`s capacity after 2 years of usual using. So 2-3 years is absolutely normal

I bought my Samsung Grand Prime in 2015, just several months after initial release.It's been five years and I'm still waiting until it stops working. I'm happy to mention here that I haven't repaired it at least once. Only battery replacement. It works flawlessly..IMO, older phones lasts longer than latest smartphones. In present, competition is higher than before and supplying various model is key point rather than supplying quality products

On average, I have been using my phone for 5 years. Then the problems with the battery and memory become more noticeable and the need to change the phone increases)

I don't even know, I bought a new phone only six months ago, I hope that it will serve me for at least another 2 years.

I used my previous phone (iPhone 6) for two years before it needed to be changed. I have been using my current phone for (Oneplus 6) for 2.5 years and it still works well. At its current state, I expects it to last another year or a year and a half.

Quality phones has been disappeared nowadays, companies are just manufacturing phones that attract customers with design and some features. Talking about the inner quality, that's worst.

Battery would get degraded overtime and displays are generally so weak that it gets break easily If it gets some pressure on it.

These companies are basically making money opportunities only and not providing the quality. They will make a phone that will attract customer with design and some feature, later that phone will have display issues, battery issues etc so that customer has to reinvest their money to get their phone repaired.

I used the last phone for 5 years, I have this phone for a year already, the store said that my phone is already out of date, but no !! It works great, I think it will trace for a few more years for sure !!

I am using my phone from 2016. Its working fine but sometimes its gonna be hang. Otherwise running well. Also, I am not using too much internet on phone. Might be because of this my phone is running well.

I haven't noticed this on my devices. I think that my phone will live a long and wonderful life until I decide to change it.

My maximum is three years. Usually, a smartphone becomes obsolete by the end of this period and is noticeably inferior in efficiency to new models. It seems to me that this is a normal period.

3-4 years is a good number
