Chrome address bar setup

Hi Forum,

On my pixel3 and samsung galaxy tab S6 lite the address bar in the chrome browser are displayed differently. I have included two screen shots. I have tried changing the chrome:flags for the tab settings with no results. Nothing changed. On my pixel3 I have the tab "button" and can view all open tabs. This is missing on the tablet and there no way to view all open tabs.

Any suggestions why this is happening? On both machines the installed chrome version is the same: 89.0.4389.105
