Latest news

An anonymous source has released new data on the upcoming Galaxy S10 series. The data came from a Samsung employee who would have been working with prototypes of the new device.

First, rumors are that the S10 will be available in three different sizes, stating that the 5.8-inch version will not bear the name “Lite”, but will simply be the smaller version, with the same processor and memory as the other versions. The exception would be a new luxury version, which will have 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage.

On the other hand, the 6.4-inch Galaxy S10+ would come with three rear and two front cameras, while the other models would have a single front camera. The 6.1-inch version would have a set of three rear cameras, and the 5.8-inch model would only have two.

Samsung Blockchain Keystore

A few weeks before its official presentation, rumors and leaks about the upcoming Galaxy S10 are multiplying. The latest information is rather surprising because it reveals the smartphone will have blockchain features. According to several leaked photos, the Galaxy S10 will include a new function called Samsung Blockchain Keystore that would allow the management of cryptocurrencies.

This functionality, already seen on the HTC Exodus, would be directly accessible from the device in the “Biometry and Safety” category. Users could then create a virtual wallet or import an existing one and manage it from their smartphone.

According to the first elements, this cryptocurrency manager seems to be limited only to the Ethereum cryptocoin, but it is highly likely that other virtual currencies will be compatible, such as Bitcoin, when the smartphone is released.

Finally, the shots confirm the front design of the device with a completely borderless screen and the hole on the top right of the device.

Everything we know about the Samsung Galaxy S10:

We’re expecting to see the Galaxy S10 officially unveiled next month, but the next generation flagship from Samsung has already surfaced ‘in the wild’. Thanks to a new photo shared by reliable leaker Evan Blass, we can take a look at what the next top of the range Galaxy will look like:

The “Beyond 1” is the standard model of the Galaxy S10, not the Lite or Plus, and you can clearly see the hole-punch style camera in the display which seems set to replace the notch as the smartphone trend of 2019. By and large the reaction on Twitter seems to be disgust at the thicker ‘chin’ bezel on the bottom, although it could be that it only stands out because the side and top bezels are so thin.

Launch date

Known Samsung insider Ice Universe posted the date on Twitter. We already had suspicions that the Samsung Galaxy S10 would launch next month, but now we have a firm date, Wednesday, February 20, and a location, San Francisco.

Update: Samsung Mobile has now confirmed the Galaxy Unpacked event on Twitter.

S10 will have 3 variants, including a cheaper ‘lite’ version

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy S10 will launch in February 2019. There will also be a separate, 5G version of the flagship that will follow a month later when Samsung launches its foldable phone in March 2019. It has previously been rumored that the S10 will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, and the latest round of leaks all-but-confirm that this will indeed be Samsung’s first foray into that technology.

The S10 will come in two premium models (the SM-G973x and SM-G975x) and an entry-level model (the SM-G970x). Only the premium models will feature the in-display fingerprint sensor, however. The cheapest version will come with 64GB of internal storage and will feature a flat version of the 5.8-inch “Infinity-O” Display display as the smaller of the two premium models. it will also have a dual camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a Snapdragon 845 or 8150. It will come in either 4+64GB, 6+64GB, or 6+128GB version and cost somewhere between $650 and $700.

Infinity-O Display: Samsung does not give in to the notch

It’s impossible to deny that the displays offered by Samsung’s flagship products always stand out for their beauty and performance. The Infinity Display introduced with the Galaxy S8, should also remain on the Galaxy S10 in an improved version called Infinity-O.

The diagonal, according to The Bell, should be 5.8 inches on the S10 and 6.3 inches on S10 Plus but this time the front camera will be right inside the panel. No, don’t worry, no notches in sight. Samsung presented its new solution to the newly completed SDC, which includes a hole in the display for the selfie camera.

And that’s where Twitter comes to our rescue, as usual. Numerous Tweets have appeared on the popular social network showing the possible design of the S10 with an Infinity-O display. What you can admire a little higher up comes from the well-known leaker, Ice Universe, and has attracted attention because it was then promptly deleted. Whether it’s one of the final prototypes for the next flagship range for Samsung, we’ll have to wait and see.

Samsung Galaxy S10 will bring significant novelties in design

Announcing it is DJ Koh, CEO of Samsung Mobile. During an interview with Chinese media DJ Koh said that the Galaxy S10 will bring a breath of fresh air to the Galaxy S series with significant design changes. Unfortunately, the representative of the world’s number one Korean smartphone company did not mention any specific details.

What he has revealed is that the Galaxy S10 will come in some magnificent colors, 9 to be precise. An impressive number of variations among which we will also find the Emerald Green seen for the last time in 2015 on Galaxy S6 Edge.

The fingerprint reader can only end up under the display

We know very well that the fingerprint reader under the display is possible. Vivo and Huawei were the first to show it on the Mate RS Porsche Design. In both cases these are devices that are produced in limited editions: producing displays capable of offering this feature for the two brands is therefore quite simple. Integrating it into the Galaxy S10 means distributing it in large quantities. Some time ago The Bell reported that the fingerprint reader under the display will be integrated on the Galaxy S10.

3D face scanner

The Samsung Galaxy S10 could incorporate a sensor dedicated to 3D face scanning. A hardware component dedicated to this feature, which could be developed in collaboration with Mantis Vision and Woodgate, designed to provide greater security to users, as well as a quick unlocking of the device.

And that’s how the manufacturer tries to further improve a feature that saw the light on Note 7, with the iris scanner, and that on S9 has been optimized. On the Galaxy S10 you should not use the front camera, but a dedicated sensor: to challenge the iPhone X, in this case, seems to be a must.

Specs won’t disappoint

The noises anticipate three variants of the Galaxy S10, one of which has three cameras at the back. The screen will occupy an even greater percentage of the front and there will be a new 3D face recognition system together with a Qualcomm ultrasonic fingerprint reader integrated into the display. All three will use Samsung’s homemade SoC or the Exynos 9820.
