Acer Iconia vs. ASUS Eee Pad Transformer?

Acer Iconia is said to have stellar Dolby audio. It's also $100 cheaper than the Eee Pad Transformer (when you buy the Transformer with the keyboard dock -- but then, the transformer has, of course, an awesome keyboard dock that Iconia can't even touch).

Both have a 10.1 inch screen, run Tegra 2 processors, and have 16 GB of internal storage. But ASUS's decision to use an IPS LCD definitely makes them the clear winner in the display category. ASUS also has a longer battery life, at around 9.5 hours to Iconia's 8 hours.

I think I'm going to go with the the Eee Pad Transformer, but I'm not positive yet. Am I missing anything?

Well, my local Costco is selling the Iconia with 32GB internal memory, so that kinda tips my preference to Acer. Then again, you can always pop a 32GB SD card into the 16GB one and then further supplement it with external USB storage, thanks to USB host mode (but that's hardly portable). I'm not sure what kind of screen the Iconia has, to be honest. Is it not IPS?

I have heard that the Transformer might have longer battery life. I've also seen evidence that the Iconia has a 3G/4G version coming out soonish.

Damn, that's a good deal at Costco. Are they still selling it for $450?

Don't know about the Iconia screen..

Yup, but for how much longer is anyone's guess as they didn't list that on the price tag.
