The 8 best icon packs for Android in 2019

Did you know that you can give your smartphone or tablet a unique new look without having to replace it? There are several methods to changing this appearance, one of which is to simply to modify the icons. We have selected for you our six favorite icon packs: choose the one you like best!

Jump to section:

What are icon packs for Android?

An icon pack is an application that replaces the icons on your Android device with original designs. Please note that most of these icon packs require the use of a launcher; some only work with specific launchers (for example only with Nova) If you don't have a custom launcher and want to see the best on the Google Play Store, check out our article:

Most of the best Android icon packs are compatible with the main launchers, if unfortunately the icon pack you are interested in is not compatible with your launcher, you can send an email to the developer, or change the launcher (but hey, we all know that such a change is very difficult...).

Tastes and colors are different from one person to another. Therefore, it is impossible to make a real ranking since the subject is far too subjective, but we suggest those that we think are the best, in no particular order.

Click UI

Many icon packs look like Click UI but it has the merit of being the first to offer icons with long shadows that give them the illusion of being in motion. You can also access many other icons (color and shape variants) if you wish. You can also configure your wallpaper and the lock screen, but there are better applications for this.

Retrorika

Retrorika offers you beautiful graphics with a touch of retro, all with Material Design. Each icon has a unique design: every detail has been worked on and that's why it appears in this list. Retrorika is one of the best icon packs if you want to have a retro and modern look in your device. Of course, you can also use it to configure your wallpaper.

PixBit

As its name suggests, PixBit offers highly pixelated icons that will appeal to geeks and fans of the 80s and 90s... The application also offers wallpapers (also pixelated). Will you be able to have pixels permanently on your screen? Personally, I enjoy it for a while, but I wouldn't be able to have it all the time.

VIT

VIT Icon Pack has more than 2000 icons that give your Android device a pure look. Be careful, it's not possible with Android stock but pure in the graphic sense: white, grey and detail. In addition to these icons, you can also set your wallpaper, so these two elements allow you to have a smartphone with a totally different look. The icons have a standardized design but are still very elegant. VIT is free and compatible with many launchers. However, it should be noted that the application has not been updated since 2015.

Zwart - Black Icon Pack

If you miss the Stamped Black Icon pack, which is no longer available on the Play Store, the Zwart Black Icon Pack by Randle is an excellent replacement, offering a minimalist monochrome look that fits just about any smartphone. In addition, the application has cloud wallpapers and Muzei support, and more than 5,000 icons are already available, but if you find one not on the list, you can still request it via a tool provided in the application itself.

  • Compatible Launchers: Nova, Apex, Action, Go, Solo, Trebuchet, Smart, Aviate, Next, KK, Nine, Blur, Unicon, ADW

Atran

Atran will become a fast favorite for all those who like unified circular icons with a retro filter effect. With more than 4,000 icons (and 30 HD wallpapers), your investment will be worthwhile and others are added all the time, so if you're looking for icons with a little originality, Atran is worth paying for.

Tigad Pro Icon Pack

This is another set of icons that probably won't please everyone's design sensibility, but if you have a penchant for 3D and want a little more depth in your icons, discover Tigad Pro. In total, this pack contains more than 7,800 custom icons, all designed in 3D and supporting their application directly or via most popular Android launchers, and like most other users in this list, it offers a number of wallpapers that also work with its icons in the application.

  • Compatible Launchers: L, Lucid, GO, Next, Apex, Action Pro, Nova, ADW, Holo, Holo HD, Aviate, Smart, Mini, KK, Solo, Epic, Inspire, Nine, Atom, Nemus, S, TSF Shell, LG Home (some issues), ThemerCM Theme Engine, Launchy Widget, Trebuchet, Unicon, maybe more

Ruggon

Icons that seem to have been dragged through the dust, why not? This icon pack has an aesthetic that matches its name. Despite this, the icons have a certain appeal, especially in combination with the 89 themed wallpapers included in the application. With its 3560 HD icons, Ruggon will give your phone that elegant post-apocalyptic look.

Definitely exceptional choices! Ba-ut to my spirit anyway - many most of the icons in the Simpax collection are extraordinarileee unique aesthetic fun funny creative simple contributing in the sense of distinctive but not obtrusive color-pleasing but not colorfuullll - fun yet kind of formal in a refined kind of elevated-at-the-same-time-as-being-fun sort of way --- Surprised I don't see it included except rarely in best iconpack suggestions

I have been rocking Free Pixel Icon Pack for over a year now and I am not bored of it yet. I also tried other paid icon packs too in between but I kept coming back to Pixel because no other Icon pack offered over 6700 Icons which covers almost all of my apps. and to top it all, i did not have to pay anything for it as it is a free pack. I would highly recommend the author to include it in the list and you guys should also try it out, just search for Pix UI Icon Pack on Playstore.

people complain about the icons and shit, just think about the person or persons that design them, it takes time to make hundreds of different icons and have them look like different things but they all have to look related to each other, to be a theems. and another thing, most are free, be happy you have a choice to pick from. I don't know if iPhone has the same ability to change its looks like Android. I don't care fo r some good the icons either, but there are a lot that look good with the right wallpaper, and theems. and there are some really good looking icon packs too.some have a day glo look to them that looks awesome with the right wallpaper behind them. sometimes a solid color icon work well I certain circumstances. it depends on how you feel too, sometimes an icon pack will hit you in a way that it wouldn't if your mood was different that day. I'm always changing my Android looks. I'm lucky f I keep everything on it for more than a week.

I just want the bog standard Lollipop icons on Nougat. I don't like those "sqround" ones. I found where to turn off icon frames so 3rd party apps can have their full, uncropped sizes, shapes and/or transparent backgrounds. Needs to replace the icons for the factory installed apps on my Galaxy Grand Prime J7.

Really hoped it would of told me at the top of the article that these were paid before I spent 10 minutes picking out an icon pack that looks good. I've been using the Internet and Android for a long time - Since are ALL icon packs paid on a website and it wont even say till u click download? Seems deceptive. Personally, I'm not used to paying 2 bucks for a cell phone icon pack. This comment is because I'm just so tired of more and more people asking for money for smaller and smaller things that never used to be paid! I'm an adult and I pay my own bills (before you flame me for expecting everything in life for free), and I understand that sometimes things you want cost money -- BUT most of the time you can find a free version! ;) (for small things like this). As if it isn't enough that we all pay for our phones, our cell plan, all of life's real life bills like rent, and electricity. Wages have not kept up with inflation in America, and on top of that many services ask you to pay for "gold" subscriptions because the free version is limited (Example: Discoery and History channel not offering HD unless you pay for them separate and in addition to your cable bill). And now y'all want $2.00 for a pack of android icons??? Thanks for wasting my time. Icons are a really minor thing, I'm saving my 2 bucks for lunch, and these sites asking for money are capitalizing on people who don't know they can get just as good icon packs for free. Anyone else feel this way? I don't mind paying for people's time, but this is an area where you should be offered free choices before paid. To back up my opinion I will make a set of 16 android icons to anyone who asks me

I completely disagree. Icon Packs are not a minor thing, if they are good, it is a lot of work. And yes, I am perfectly fine with paying for a great icon pack. You are basically saying that any basic job should not be paid, and I cant not agree with that ;)

Hi Izzy, yes please make me 16 Android icons for free. But I do want these icons to be topnotch quality obviously. Good design quality which will match my user interface designs perfectly, not that crap quality design which you can download for free all over the internet. Thanks.

Ya, I spent literally a 1000+ $$$ on theems , icon packs, pro widget packs, launchers, photo fx packages, security apps, and camera pro version, I didn't realize how much money I spent over a few years. I forgot, subscriptions too, I spent more than a 1000 dollars easily.

I have to agree on the icons being tacky part, most of these are vomit-worthy (I'm partial to ICS / Jelly bean icons, and most of these are almost pure opposites). The ads and malware must be from installing something with an .apk (binary program)

Im glad you all do this list, but you missed so many great icon packs that are more unique and awesome looking

A lot of really good icon packs/developers do not get attention for some reason. Some silly icon pack with only 300 icons will get 10,000 downloads, while someone like, 'Not just another designer' only gets 500 downloads and he has over 2000 icons in all his packs.

    Here is some awesome ones:
    Sutoroku
    Aura
    Bayside
    Elementary
    Serenity

Many more awesome developers beside him..

Is there a reason some get more downloads? Like, do they have deal with android to get more attention?

I'm a fan of Mador. Black background on each icon. Good library as well.

so I'm betting that once you install 1 icon pack your lost....
coz one pack leads to another, then custom widgets then a custom rom.. then.... .a new phone and then it all starts over again...
I'm a great fan of kovdev,s icon packs, Lumos and Domo are my current favourites quality work that looks really great.

Cobalt is by far the best PAID icon pack. Metal free is the best free one. Other notable free ones are Belle, Luxx, and DKizons (or however that is spelled)

Who do you think makes these resources? Google? No, these aren't a way for the big companies to try and take advantage of you. These products are creations of artists and designers. Your statement sounds a lot like this analogy: "I bought a computer, and now when i try to get on some websites, they want me to PAY!! I paid for the computer, why are they trying to con me into giving more?!" Perhaps I'm jumping to conclusions. These designers created something and offered it to the community to enjoy. They just want a little compensation for their time. If you do not enjoy the art or resource, don't install it. If you don't mind supporting a person who put time and effort into something, then enjoy! As for subscription services like multiplayer support, its not like multiplayer support is just a magical connection that doesnt require a maintained network of servers and specilized software. Its not like those companies hve to pay for internet bandwidth to allow you to play their game on their servers. Its not like they have to continually pay for maintaining the sercers and network (though, if they actually didnt, it might be a little more understandble when all their networks are breached and customer informtion is stolen). Multiplayer support in games is a HUGE investment, and its not "half" of the game. It is MUCH easier, and MUCH less expensive to create single player games. Again, if you think paying a tiny fraction of a multiplayer game's overhead is ridiculous, then dont pay it. Yes, i can see the point ofeeling like we're being nickeled and dimed. It certainly feels that way a lot of the time. But maybe it isnt that others are trying to find ways to get every penny out of us, but that we are wanting and expecting more and more. Nothing is free, and costs, at the very least, time. Sure there ARE some people that want to con or rob you. And yes, caution and skepticism are good defenses. But the truth is: a business wants to give you what you want. You expect more, they offer more, you pay for more.

Exactly what Stephen said. The amount of money you would spend on your morning coffee is hardly a lot to ask for considering the time and effort these people put in to create these packs. Do you work for free?

"Here here"? No, not exactly what Stephen said, he was wrong with most of his comment because most of his comments where assumptions on my thinking. Do you believe him because he sounds so sure of himself? His reply I found very, VERY offensive towards me wen I Wasn't being offensive towards anyone in my original comment.

I just went through a divorce, right after my mom died of brain cancer - I'm barely making ends meet right now. But thanks for the "its only 2 dollars" replies, very shortsighted. Also I don't live in an urban area, I don't buy coffee on my way to work? That $2 is better spent on Lunch - but thanks for assuming I have so much money right now that im going to buy overpriced street coffee!. I take time and effort as a graphic artist to release free and paid content, (I've been a graphic artist since 15) and I let my users know IF IT IS PAID AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE, which was what I was complaining about this site not doing. So, I completely understand "If you don't mind supporting a person who put time and effort into something, then enjoy!" oh but wait, you think I expect everything for free even though that's not what I said? You think I go around not supporting people's artwork?

I didn't need a lecture written for a 10-year-old - "Your statement sounds a lot like this analogy: "I bought a computer, and now when i try to get on some websites, they want me to PAY!! "
Come on, that is not what I was saying. You're a fuckin asshole.
Furthermore, I don't expect things in life for free, I'm not a child -- but growing up is what led me to realize that you don't pay for tiny things in life you can get for free. Don't shame people for commenting that they disagree with a website not listing price or paid immedietly, and don't shame people for thinking icons are not enough of a big purchase to we worth money at all. My graphic designs are in wallpapers, and I would gladly pay for an andoid theme if it were possible; I also pay for subscriptions to wallpaper websites.

What I don't do is pay $2 for an icon pack when Inflation has brought lunch to about $8 for a meal, I'm going through hard times, and be flamed by people for just saying "hey - save your money for something that matters"

No, I don't work for free - except when I DO give away my stuff for free - Thanks for assuming I expect other people to always work for free! (even though I didn't say that)!
Do you comment for free when you get to put words in other peoples' mouths? In the end I don't have unlimited money to buy everything - Android icons are pretty low on the priorities list. I think you misunderstood me - I really don't think I should of gotten these icons without paying for the "time and effort these people put into create these packs", my ENTIRE POINT can be summarized as: "wages have only kept up with inflation by half; I support artists when I can but, even with a job, companies expect you to pay for more and more, so therefore right now I wont be paying for icons, please tell me if they cost money at the top of the page."

Somehow in saying I can't pay for everything (everything in life can't always be paid for, each person only has so much money) you heard that nothing in life should be bought. Okay, but please don't put words in my mouth and flame me next time.
