Sony doesn't think twice when it comes to introducing new colors or visual aspects for its smartphones. The Xperia line has come in chrome, turquoise, red and purple in the past, and the Xperia Z5 Premium has a fully reflective surface. Now, the Japanese giant is about to introduce a huge smartphone, previewed in leaked photos. Here is what we know about the Sony Xperia C6 so far.

Highlight recent changes

Sony Xperia C6 price and release date

The Sony Xperia C6 release date and price have not been announced yet, however the device is expected to be launched before the end of the second quarter of 2016. We will let you know as soon as we have further information.

Prices of Sony flagships have traditionally been high and we could expect the C6 to be even higher because it's a larger device. The price could be in the $800-900 range. This is the similar to the Z5 Premium when it was released last year.

Sony Xperia C6 design

The recent Xperia C5 Ultra featured extremely slim bezels and it seems as though the Xperia C6 will take this one step further. The latest leaked images of the Xperia C6 show a device with a bezel-less screen, aluminum unibody and a rose gold color scheme.

Rose gold has already been seen on recent Apple devices and is likely to be the color of choice for a number of Android smartphones and wearables in 2016.

A render, said to have been drawn based on factory schematics, appeared online on January 30. The render came from @OnLeaks, a renowned leakster, and closely reflects the leaked images above.

New photos reportedly of the Xperia C6 were released by the Chinese website Baidu and give us some insight into the design and specs of the device. These leaked photos are much different to the ones leaked by MobileIt from the design to the size of the device. It's a good reminder for us to remain cautious when these leaks happen.

Sony Xperia C6 specs

As we can see from the leaked image from Baidu, the device has a significant front cam for selfies. The flash is located on its left and the infrared sensor is located on the other side of the top. You can take a closer look with another Baidu leaked image below.

Another image (shown below) shows the rear camera, but from the photo appears to be the same size as the front camera. If these are in fact images of the Xperia C6 we could see one of the only devices that gives the same credence to selfies as to normal pictures.

MobileIT168 suggests that the device will be packed with a MediaTek Helio X10 processor with eight cores at 2 GHz. The Sony Xperia C6 display is said to measure 5.5 inches and offer Full HD resolution.

regardless of practical use narrow bezels just look cool, looking forward for manufacturers to reduce the top and bottom bezels as well.

It better have stellar edge contact rejection or it will be a nightmare to use. Some bezel is good for that bit of finger squish that happens in a good grip.
