Poll: What is your favorite Android UI?

AndroidPIT Samsung S6 vs Nexus 5X 8904
© nextpit

The UI, or user interface, of a smartphone differs depending on the manufacturer of the device. Samsung smartphones, for example, come with TouchWiz and that is why the design of the icons, menus, and other aspects look different than an HTC device with Sense UI. We have video examples of a few UIs for you to evaluate. You may be surprised which you like best once you've seen them all!

Take a look at these videos of six of the most popular Android UIs and let us know which is your favorite in the poll at the bottom.

Samsung TouchWiz

TouchWiz is so common that many think it is the stock version of Android. It is known for it's blue, white and gray color palette.

Sony Xperia UI

With no physical home button, Sony's interface has buttons built into the UI on the bottom of the screen.

HTC Sense

Sense's flat, Material Design is moving closer to stock Android, but the dark grey app drawer makes it distinct.

LG UX

The LG UX comes with no app drawer, some oddly colored wallpapers and flat, square icons.

Huawei / Honor Emotion UI

EMUI has no app drawer as well, and resembles iOS strongly.

Stock Android

Stock Android is purely Google-made, so the devices which run it receive software updates first, naturally. This is the real deal.

For more information and a detailed comparison of each UI listed here, check out our article on the subject. Which unique aspects from different OEM's UIs do you wish Google would add to stock Android? Do you prefer TouchWiz over stock? Let us know what your thoughts are in the comments.

On my Samsung I've replaced TouchWiz with nova prime and it's 100% better. You can change nearly anything you like...

None of the poll subjects. I use NOVA Launcher. As soon as I set up my new(then) Note 4, on went Nova.
I have Nova on my two old S3's- one running Marshmallow 6.0.1, the other running Nougat 7.1.1. Good stuff.

i own the s7, i have over 60 themes, i got them on the theme store. out of the 60 themes, it comes down to 5-6 that i allways switch to. so my ui is always different looking, abd i use Nova launcher, with an app called five wallpapers. i have a different wallpaper for every screen on my device. and a different transition effect on each screen as well. i dont like touchwiz too much.

Stock... but only with Nova launcher, and Zooper or KWGT, widgets, and a decent icon pack...
if I couldn't customise android I'd probably be using an iPhone ..

Firstly I have noticed that the samsung touchwiz was based on marshmallow and the rest of the devices were on nougat if I'm not mistaken videos too small and rapid? So it's a bit like comparing apples with pears I guess? And for this fact I just wonder why the gross number of voters voted for touchwiz as it is clearly outdated and not the best looking at all. Come on you don't have to impress anyone we all know the truth and it's not samsung touchwiz in my opinion...

Though I have touchwiz and don't want to slow down by 3rd party covers. But stock is best without the search bar Google.

Sony ui. Other xperia users can agree that "xperia is a feeling“, there's so much attachment to the way sony functions. I use M2 a midranger and i am satisfied. I really wonder i the Z5 or X performance or Zx will make me feel with all those features that i dont have right now

@remy: Sure it will but CM is unsupported now officially. It is a matter of time before the first security breach pops up.

@joajo: Lineage 7s all about Nougat and officially supported.
