is it worth it becoming an Android developer considering how widely used web technologies are?

Hi, over the last few days I've been wondering if becoming an Android developer is actually worth it. I'm currently in college, studying CS, and I've learned quite a few languages so far (not saying I'm an expert in any language by any means), and the two languages I like the most are Java and C++. For this reason, I was looking for job opportunities in either of these languages and since I also happen to like the Android ecosystem (so much that I picked up a Nexus 5 a few years back and I'm still using it) I thought "Well, why not learn Android development more in depth?". I've already made a few toy apps to get a rough idea of what developing for Android is like.

depends on what you want to develop, I know some guys that made lots of money-makings and improving apps. all depends on your idea and the product you want to develop

Only if you particularly interested in mobile development. From my point and experience almost 20 years in IT, it's better to engage in Artificial Intelligence now.

Everything depends on your goals, to be honest. But in my opinion, it's worth your time because apps on Android will exist for a long time and amount of Android users are only increasing.

It depends. If you loving making Android Applications then continue your career as a Android Developer. If not then leave it because after some time you'll hate it.

Of course, if you wanted to be an Android developer then you are on right track, in the upcoming next few years, the mobile application development demand will definitely increase and require more developers and support. I suggest if you go for the android developer but learn about cloud-based application development along with which will add additional quality to your expertise and you will get hired by large scale companies.

for more knowledge about the mobile application, you can read a few of the blogs that I have posted below
