Problem transferring to PC

I am trying to transfer files and photos from Samsung Tab A to PC. PC recognises the device but when I click on folders etc, it is showing as empty on the PC.

Tried manuals, googling - all no joy. Hope someone can help me.

Googling tells me about File Manager, which I cannot find on the tablet. Media Device same thing. Where are these things hiding.

When you connect your Phone do you get the Media Options. If yes, swipe down from the notification shade and look for the one that says something like "connected as a media device - touch for other USB options"
