Hello everyone, I have a unique problem I thought I would ask here for help.

I am wondering if there is a way to permanently restrict my ability to access an app. Like can I prevent my phone from installing the app permanently or somehow prevent myself from accessing this app? The main feature of the app uses the front-camera, so if there is a way to permanently prevent the app from accessing my front-camera that would work too.

For context, I'm having trouble with self-control relating to this app, and uninstalling alone won't work as I can just re-install. Any help is much appreciated.

You can go into your settings under all apps. Find the app in question, and deny it permission to access your camera.
Just a curious question, what app is it that you find so addictive?
If we know what app you are talking about, there might be a way to get the devlopers to ban you from using thier app perminantly.
Don't be embarrassed to tell! We all have our fixes.

If there is anyway to block a app like you want, then you will also know how to unblock it.
You have to dig deep into your will power and resist temptation!

If you really want to break your addiction to that app. I have a idea!
Every app has rules.
Break those rules!
And keep breaking those rules until they ban your access to that app!

If I were you, I would like to get the package name and version code of the app at first, then make an app with the same package name as well as the bigger version code, and install the new app on my device at last.
This would prevent that app from installing.
:D

Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.

@James Watson. This sounds like a good idea, do you know how I could go about doing this? [I'm not too experienced with tinkering with software]

@Lindsay the app is chatous. and yes just restricting permissions from settings would be too simple haha, it has to be pretty irreversible

iPhone has a feature to limit the screen time. I don't know whether Android have this feature.
