Google Nexus 5 — 'Enable oem unlock' option missing

I have a nexus 5 running on android 6.0.1 build number MMB29k
I was trying to root it when I found that the 'Enable oem unlock' option present in the developer options is missing on my device.
The nexus root toolkitv2.1.0 also failed to detect my device. Please help!

Your rooting is not done properly, you could get it done with some expert.
