Samsung Galaxy S3 — INTERNAL STORAGE PHOTOS!

I had a cracked samsung galaxy s3 a few months back and i dropped it in the toilet, it still worked after i dried it but my father decided to fix the screen, after he attempted it the top screen which he had put on was fine and looked new but the screen underneath had turned a gold color and now nothing shows up, it just stays gold. Now i really need some of my photos from there but they are all on the internal storage! I used a USB cable with my laptop, the phone still vibrates and shows up on my laptop, but not the photos? Does anyone know what i can do? HELP
