So the Samsung Galaxy Prevail LTE (aka Samsung Galaxy Core Prime) has been on the market for almost 3 months now, and I've yet to find any applications or methods to root this device.
Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places?
So far I've tried the following:
-iRooot (formerly vRoot)
Also I've tried to root via the ADB push method to load busybox and su. However, hooking the Android up to a machine running Ubuntu and launching Nautilus, I'm unable to see or browse the directories on the device.

So does anyone have any recommendations or know of any apps or methods that might work?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Nick, your device is really one tough device to root just like my friends, I did all the rooting methods for her (more than a number of methods you used :D), but unfortunately nothing worked. It all failed but I really want to root her device as a b-day gift.. hahaha.. I didn't gave up till I reached site, and decided to give to them all the hard work to be able to root her device and they are able to root it successfully in real time, I'm really happy with the result as well as my friend, maybe you can give it a try then?

Bless you Nick.. :)

Psstt.. try using Kingroot 4.1.0 or the newest version! I got busybox to load, xposed, and much more. But I cannot load gamecih1,2,3 or any type of minor root tools. But definetly take advantage of Kingroot! Unfortunately my superuser doesn't work, and replacing Kinguser with SU is hard.. try looking at a tutorial for that I cant help any more Mr. Smith. Enjoy.

You can't send it back to your provider and let them do it for you ?
