If your battery has been acting up after a firmware update especially, then you may need to do a battery recalibration.
The first thing to try whenever you get battery woes is a reboot. just turn your phone off for 30 seconds (or pull the battery if you can) and then restart.
If that doesn't work you can clear the cache partition through recovery and if all else fails backup all your apps and data and do a factory reset.
If that still doesn't work you can download an app called Battery Calibration from the Play Store to reset your battery. Note: it requires root privileges.
