I have an honor 9 of which the lcd Screen was smashed and needed replacing. Upon removing the lcd the black sticker behind it, not the adhesive sticker, was removed too exposing layers of silvery stickers, which had a bad smell. Can anyone tell me what the sticker/pad is and is it essential to have it for the phone to work properly?
