S5 Microphone & speaker not working ONLY when making and receiving calls. Works in loudspeaker mode.

A few days ago the microphone and speaker stopped working when making and receiving calls. If I turn on loudspeaker I can hear and talk to the caller.

The speaker and microphone work fine for everything else, such as playing music, using the Voice Recorder, etc.

I couldn't find any settings that would fix this. I searched online for this type of problem and tried the suggested fixes but none worked. I then updated to the latest software version and the problem was fixed.

Then 2 days later the problem has re-appeared. Any suggestions please?

Could it be that you inadvertently activate the do not disturb?

First of all, check your volume setting for calls (Voice Call volume). Refer to the screenshot as below.

If it is too low, go through your apps installed to check whether some one will adjust the Voice Call volume automatically.

Checked the settings - all settings are ok. Problem remains.

I just came across this too, will a 3rd party install from netflix cracked version solve the problem?
