Hello, my friends, I have a MAJOR update for you. You might already know my App, but it’s better that ever and worth a try!
The App can now use the official Google Photos API as Data Source, that means that no Google Drive Sync is needed for that mode! All modifications, effects, rotations and so on are visible on the map!
The data source for the location data is your Google Location History. Just follow the instructions on app startup.
I also did major cache and thumbnail improvements, that means that no grey photos should be displayed anymore on the map or in the full-size view. Only the grid view doesn’t request a new thumbnail URL because of backend limits! (In the future I will maybe disable the auto reload on startup, updates will follow 
)
All your photos will be mapped on the map if you had enabled the Location History by the time. That means that even **DSLR **and other photos will be displayed with the right location.
