I'm happy to inform you that the bug with the missing photos has been identified and resolved. The next Photo Map for Google Photos release v2.01.02 will work!
The update should appear in a few minutes/hours.
Please keep in mind that untagged Photos will be displayed in the upper right corner. You can find more information about that on my website.

I improved the user interface, you will be happy to see a bigger & cleaner map!

The other app loads only the Google Photos folder (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.levionsoftware.photo_map_for_google_photos)

A new version is coming out very soon. The data source will be the official Google photos API and the location history will be used as location data.
