How does one dismiss (or call up) the virtual keyboard? On my Windows 10 tablet there was always a tiny keyboard icon at the bottom right that toggled the keyboard to appear or disappear.

Hi Johnny, welcome to AndroidPIT! 
to open the keyboard, simply click into a text field. The keyboard will open automatically.
To dismiss it, simply hit the back button of your tablet.

OK, thanks, but what if I`m in, say, Excel, where there is no Back button?
