My Mum's WhatsApp has a message advising that her version is now obsolete to go to the Google Play store and download the latest version. My problem is she has no idea of what the password/criteria is for the email address under which the app was initially downloaded, therefore it will not update as it is waiting for an "Authentication required, sign into your Google Account". I have created a new email address where I have a current back-up stored (?), but if I delete (if I can) the original email address will this delete/uninstall the current Whatsapp app? If I then download and install a new version of WhatsApp, will I be able to restore the backup I took today before it was uninstalled so my Mum has access to historical messages/pictures? Sorry for long query... I'm a bit baffled by this?!
