Samsung Galaxy Tab — Factory reset doesn't delete email attachment

I have the galaxy tab a and forgot the email info when setting it up so I did a factory reset but it still asks for the email previously synced with the device. Is there another type of reset that breaks this link because I don't have access to the email?
