Backup mode

I was wonering if whatsapp backups to Google Drive are incremental, differential or full.

For example, if the last backup took place one hour ago and the next is due tomorrow at th same time, what's going to happen if I clear all my chats? Will next backup overwrite the previous data with the last 24 hour chats?

This FolderSync application looks nice. For now I'm trying out he lite version.

As a test I set up a photo folder backup to a cloud service.

I chose daily backup but couldn't specify the time of the day so, to try if it worked I manually started syncing, but then I walked away from the area with wifi coverage before it was completed (a lot of stuff in that folder) and a red error message came up.

Is it going to automatically pick up as soon as wifi is again available? If not, that would be a nuisance.
