Samsung Galaxy Note 3 — can i update using a different firmware version.

My device version is N750XXUCOB2 (4.4.2) and the firmware through which i want to update my device is N750XXUDOK5 (5.1.1)(Russian update), is flashing through odin possible. if possible does it require rooting. and should i backup my data.

Hi, i would love to know if and how you figured it out.
i have Samsung Galaxy Note3 that i trying to install the most up to date version and not sure which is the correct one..
