Old school about game playing

I've honestly hardly played any games on either my laptop, or my phone (Samsung Galaxy S3), because I would rather use a controller instead of a keyboard or my stylus, which I think is better , because I dislike using my fingers on my phone .I tried a remote Playstation 🎮 controller on my laptop , didn't work. But, I recently found out there is a way to use a controller through an app called Sixaxis, but I believe you need root, which I am not sure I'm going to attempt just yet. Anyway, does anyone out there know of any other way I could use a controller for the Android games? And, btw, I don't own any game systems and can't afford one atm.I wish I did though, I used to love ❤ playing games.
