Tablets are a weird beast. Almost 70% of Americans now own a tablet, but they are't in the same ''must update every year'' category as smartphones. When it comes to tablets we seem much happier to just stick with what we have for longer.
So when a new tablet like the Nexus 9 comes along, offering a relatively low price, great looks, HTC BoomSound stereo front-mounted speakers and a 64-bit Tegra K1 with Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out of the box, a lot of us start listening.
Is the Nexus 9 good enough and cheap enough to tempt you to upgrade your old tablet? Or will you just stick with your old tab until something even bigger and better comes along?
