According to the official CyanogenMod blog, the CM team have said that despite the developer preview of Android L currently being available, CyanogenMod version 12 is unlikely to be released for some time.

"Google’s early release and access is something they have never done before, and it is going to wildly help developer adoption of the new L platform; this is exciting to see happen." States the blog. "However, this doesn’t take away the fact that the code, being a preview, is non-final and likely going to change."

The team don't want to focus on a CyanogenMod build when there is a possibility that it won't be compatible with the final version of the Android L software. However, the developer preview is giving them a head start on anticipating potential problems/solutions which they haven't had with past releases of Android, so we may not have to wait too long.

Meanwhile CM11 M8 (Android 4.4.4) is primed for release on July 4th, so at least some of us have that to look forward to.
