Portuguese English Offline Dictionary for Android [FREE APP]

We recently released Portuguese English Dictionary + for Android phones and tablets on Google Play.

The extensive dictionary includes over 650.000 offline entries comprising definitions, translations and usage examples but that’s just a start. Portuguese English Dictionary + contains numerous learning tools (phrasebook, verb conjugator, translator) and unique features that make it the most comprehensive app of its kind for Android.

Several people have asked us if Portuguese English Dictionary + includes Brazilian Portuguese so I wanted to pass along the following information.

According to Wikipedia, "With the implementation of the 1990 agreement spelling, the orthographic norms of Brazil and Portugal will become identical, with some minor differences, which are equally valid in both countries."

So from a written perspective, Portuguese and Brazilian are close to identical and Portuguese English Dictionary + includes words often cited as more prevalent in Brazil such as banheiro (bathroom), ônibus (bus), estacionar (park), fila (line), etc.
