Hi All,

Just purchase my HTC Sensation XE two days ago. In "Task Manager" it shows total memory 563 Mb instead of 768 Mb...anyone have any idea why this value appears? If I go to hardware information, it shows the factory value, 768 Mb. Why the phone see, and use only 563?
Thank you all for your time, please answer if you have any clue about this issue!

Will that not just be showing you what you've got left after installing a few apps? Mine shows 1.15GB total and 724.71MB available (that's via Apps2SD - a handy app that pops up when you instal something that can be moved) It also shows my SD card as 14.91GB total with 11.13GB available.
Some won't move to SD card.

some of the ram is dedicated to system apps and will never show as free. My arc has 512mb ram, but total always shows as 420. app2sd saves a lot, but if you move an app with a widget it won't work. If you're rooted use link2sd, you'll need to partition your sd card but the ext4 partition then becomes an extension of your internal memory.

Is it an app which is giving you the information or if not what settings are you going into on the phone?

Are you using a 16GB SD card? I'm using a 32GB but it doesn't show 32GB instead it shows total space 29.71GB and 29.03GB available.

Its probably showing you AVAILABLE memory at 563, not total.

well that's usually because 1gb=1024mb and if you calculate for 32gb it should show you around 29gb.

Remaining is used by the system as default..!!

Not all phones have the actual memory as listed with the device..!!
