Hello everyone. I have a WhatsApp business account registered with my personal number. But when I try to create a new WhatsApp business account with same number on another phone, I am always told that the WhatsApp application I am using is unofficial and yet I downloaded it from Playstore. But when I try another number it works correctly

It sounds like you're running into an issue with the WhatsApp Business app. Even though you downloaded it from the Play Store, it seems the app is recognizing your number as already registered, causing it to flag the second installation as unofficial. WhatsApp allows only one account per number on each device. Since the number is already registered on your first phone, you can’t register it again on the second phone with the same account. Try using a different number or transfer your existing WhatsApp Business account to the new phone instead.

Can you please tell us why WhatsApp Business flagged his second phone as unofficial when he tries to use the same number?

The reason WhatsApp Business flagged the second phone as "unofficial" when trying to use the same number is because WhatsApp allows only one account per phone number. When you try to register the same number on a second phone, the app detects that the number is already in use on another device and blocks the registration on the second device. This is a security measure to prevent multiple devices from accessing the same account simultaneously. Essentially, WhatsApp sees this as an attempt to use the number in a way that’s not officially supported, hence the "unofficial" flag. To resolve this, you would need to transfer the existing WhatsApp Business account to the new phone rather than trying to register the same number again.

It could also be caused by a bug or glitch in the version of WhatsApp Business you’re using, or in any modified versions like WhatsApp Gold or GB WhatsApp. These types of issues can sometimes interfere with the verification process, causing WhatsApp to mistakenly flag the second phone as using an unofficial version of the app. This is particularly likely if you’re trying to register the same phone number on multiple devices at once, as WhatsApp’s system may not properly recognize the second device or its version, triggering the "unofficial" error message. In such cases, it's important to ensure that your WhatsApp app is up-to-date, and you may also want to try clearing the app cache or reinstalling it to fix any underlying issues. However, the most straightforward solution would be to transfer your WhatsApp Business account from your first phone to the new one, rather than trying to register the same number on both devices. This will ensure that your account stays properly linked to your number, as WhatsApp only supports one device per number at any given time, preventing any future conflicts.

This issue should have something to do with that you have registered a WhatsApp business account with your personal number. However, that error message is indeed misleading.
