To save your screen layout, you can use the following methods depending on your device type:
For Android:
Backup via Google Drive:
- Go to Settings > System > Backup (may vary by device).
- Ensure Back up to Google Drive is turned on.
- Your app layout, including folders, will be saved to your Google account.
Launcher Backup:
- If you use a custom launcher (e.g., Nova Launcher), most launchers have a backup option.
- Open the launcher settings and look for Backup & Restore to save your layout.
Manual Screenshot
- Take screenshots of your home screens for a visual backup. This won't restore automatically, but it's helpful as a reference.
For iPhone
iCloud Backup:
- Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup.
- Make sure iCloud Backup is turned on.
- Perform a backup by tapping Back Up Now.
- This will save your home screen layout, app folders, and settings.
iTunes/Finder Backup:
- Connect your iPhone to a computer.
- Open iTunes (on Windows or older macOS) or Finder (on macOS 10.15 and later).
- Select your device and choose Back Up Now.
- This creates a full backup, including your screen layout.
By doing this, you’ll ensure that your layout can be restored in case of a crash, replacement, or upgrade.
