BBC Sounds app problem

I have "downloaded" a BBC4 radio program for future listening and it appears in the app archive. I want to be able to email it to myself so that I can put it on an mp3 player to listen to on my car radio, but it does not appear in any file manager app as a download. How do I extract it - maybe it is locked into the app for copywrite reasons.
