After several years' use I've been unable to send eg a jpeg attachment or a one page Word doc. I discovered I had many dozens of downloads, which I thought was the problem. But when I try to email those I want they stack up in the queue. Also my Google drive is almost maxed out. Please advise.

Make a full backup for your data on the device, and then do a factory reset as well as clear cache partition.
