Phone/small tablet choice

I would be very grateful if someone could advise.

I need a phone/small tablet for GPS (sat nav), photos and certain apps for my work. I have used a Samsung J5 since 2015 and apart from lack of space was fine until the charging port 'died' and the processor failed. I don't actually use it for calls as I prefer a 2G phone.

A Tablet has more space but no flash unless there is a recent model that now provides such but I've not found one. Ideally smaller than 7" model. They exist but often without GPS e.g. Fire.

As for phone I tried an Alcatel 1X and the flash and photo quality is hopeless. It seems Samsung are the best and I should get something like the A10.

I am not too knowledgeable on phones and would be grateful for any advice.
