Just bought note 2. When i recieved it and turned it on it was modied. Need to know how to unmod it so I can update phone. Keep getting notice saying this phine is modified updates not avalible.

Modified could mean a couple of different things!
It could have been rooted! And whoever did it could have deleted some of the nessary system apps!
It could have been unlocked from it's original carrier!
You need to find out how it was modified before you can fix it!
This is a shot in the dark, but have you tried a factory reset yet?

If you do decide on the factory reset,
Keep this in mind...
If some of the systems apps were deleted in a re-root!
A factory reset might not bring them back!
Also- you have a very old device. The constant up grading of the software for these smartphones may have rendered your note 2 obsolete!

Well like I said you have to find out how your software was modified.
Or use the phone as is.
