My phone is infected with a virus that I cant find anything on or figure out how to get rid of. It keeps coming up with fake notifications from whatsapp, facebook, messenger and fake missed calls they are all have subtext: ug.news-subscribe.com

I have googled the address and even gone there, but I can find nothing on this virus.

I have also installed avast, malwarebytes and one app called security center.

None of them have identified or fixed the virus.

I got the virus from downloading flud and two movies from yts.ag.

I need help to get this thing off my phone.

Has anyone heard of this virus or have any idea of how to get rid of this?

I need like a system restore to set my phone back before 11/28.

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks in advance.

it seems you may have downloaded a malicious App. When you download a malicious App, it may be difficult to detect because they can like impersonate their ID behind other App on the phone. Once you install a malware app, it can delete its icon from the screen, hide, and start collecting info from you. So the sooner you notice some funny behavior, the better.
The best solution to this is to factory reset your device. Make sure to backup your data before factory reset your phone, as this is going to wipe all your data from phone

Go to My Files app.
Uninstall all of the downloads in question.
Then go into internal storage and delete the files that came from the downloads.
Then do a factory reset!
This sounds like a more advanced virus.
To be sure you should follow these steps
Or a factory reset may not completely remove the virus!
When you get rid of it I suggest that you install Lookout anti virus app
You can find it in play store, or on the internet. And it's free!

Maybe you need a factory reset + wiping cache partition.

Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.
The minimalist app available on Play Store: https://goo.gl/ws42fN

One other suggestion.
Instead of backing up your data on some kind of a computer program,
I think you should back up your data the good old fashion way!
With a pencil and paper!
Think about this!
If you back up your data in something like cloud storage or a external hard drive, that data may contain the virus you are trying to get rid of.
Then you do the factory reset and re-enter the data you saved you may be re-entering that virus yourself!
Don't take any chances! Write down every thing you want to save on paper.
Then do the factory reset and wipe your phone clean!
And for God sakes don't ever go on that website again!
And when you are done let us know if you were successful.

I would suggest you to download any anti-malware app to fix the issue.

Hi,

I had the same issue. Easy fix:

  1. Go to Google play.
  2. Unistall Chrome (you will see that the notifications will disappear)
  3. Re Install Chrome

Hope this helps.
