Sceen darkens seconds after call begins

Question

Good day!
My Moto e Supra goes dark quickly when I finish dialing.
Here is the kicker: when your on a call that ask, "press one for..." Etc.. I can shake phone- see the opens for a nano sec, then poof the sceen darkens 

New to this phone. Is there an option for keeping phone screen lit?
