I can't download overseas

I am stationed overseas and my command uses WhatsApp to stay in contact. I downloaded it just fine but it says it needs to send me a code by text. I don't have service overseas or I would not need this app. Can I get a code by email?

Do you mean WhatsApp code when you install WhatsApp and register for it?
The code is in SMS other than email.

In fact, your WhatsApp id is your phone number. So you have to get a verify code by your phone number. You may have some friend, which is in your home country, insert your sim card into his/her phone temporarily and then get that code for you. But I am not sure whether WhatsApp supports android devices without phone service.

Another option if someone is going on leave and to where they have phone service where they are going they could do the set up for you. I does require a phone number I tried to see if I could install on my tablet which Wi-Fi only and could not because it detected that there is no sim.

I have the best system but I can't download the overseas. which is very useful to me. And in this, I am using the email account which provides the best facility. so, If I want any help then I go to the link which provides the best support.
