Now based in US and used samsung smart switch to move from an old UK samsung Note to an unlocked Samsung J7, seemed fine, but log in to whatsapp on new phone required the UK verification as that is where whatsapp registered - got this message on phone - see image below - Your phone number is no longer registered to this phone. This is likely because you registered you phone number with WhatsApp on a different phone. VERIFY.
Don't want to lose chat history - what happens when hit the VERIFY button? Help please.
