Was it the same apk file which you failed to download via different web browsers?
Try another one from different source.

Yes, there are two options related to apk downloading and installing in Settings of Android devices.
Settings - Advanced settings - Security,
- Download apps from unknown sources
- Install apps from unknown sources
Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.

Did you try downloading different APK files from different websites?
Maybe you have anti-virus or something blocking app installed on your device which blocks downloading .apk files through internet.

I think you should use apk downloader at this Gamehot.games website. This is the best place and used by many users to download the apk file for free.

maybe the apk is corrupted, or it has a virus. Even without an anti-virus android have a security system that handles that

When you will download apk file outside of Play Store, then you have to change a little bit of your setting. If you don't know don't worry. In the below, I shared the trick...
- Go to your phone setting.
- Find out the unknown source option
- Enable it
- For downloading apk, go AppsGag website
All done, hope now you can easily download any apk file to your SD Card or Internal Storage...

Allow the unknown the sources in settings then you will be able to do it.
Hi. If you're a more casual APK downloader then a Chrome extension is probably not really necessary. Instead, you can just visit a dedicated site for generating APK download links whenever you need to.
Go to the Play Store and find the app you want to download.
Copy the app's URL address from the browser's address bar.
Next, go to a site like Apkssl APK Downloader (Apkssl also has a Chrome/Firefox extension) and paste the app package name (or the whole Google Play URL if you're lazy) in the box at the top of the page.

I think the problem may lie in the APK file you downloaded. Try downloading the file from other sources like apktovi or choilieng. I can normally download and install APK files from those sites without facing any errors.
If you're using lux or a similar disable it to install things
Disable any app that adds a filter to the screen like Lux.

or Check your updates . I got it from playstore a few hours ago
Hello,
I think your device doesn't allow installation from external source. So, First You've to enable "Unknown Source" From Settings then Click On Privacy and Enable the Option "Unknown Source" Present Under Device Administration if you have an Android Device. Let Me Know What Happens.

Hello. I recently ran into this problem too. The reason was the file extension, it had not apk, but apkp.
Perhaps you also had this reason. But here several questions arise:
Have you downloaded only one file?
On one resource or several?
What is the name of the application?
If the game or application is copyright infringement, then the administration downloads an empty apk file.
Perhaps you have chosen an unverified site.
If you want to download working applications, then you need to go to the pipsli.net website, find the application or game you are interested in, and download without fear. I myself only use a few proven resources.

ROM is the best option and You can find a ton of ROM websites on the Internet. the most important factor when downloading emulators and ROMs from websites to make sure they are safe. The first ignores the download manager software, the second makes sure it's in .zip format, and the third doesn't open ROMs with the .exe extension.

Go to Security & privacy > More settings. Tap on Install apps from external sources. Select the browser (e.g., Chrome or Firefox) you want to download the APK files from. Toggle Allow app installs on.
Hope this helps
