If CPU support Qualcom Quick Charge 3.0 , does the phone also has it?

Alright the example is with Snapdragon 435. Redmi 4x has such CPU but the company says it support Fast charge 2.0.

So I want to know can I use a quick 3.0 charger?

If the answer is yes,

In order to enable Quick charge 3.0 is there required additional hardware support except CPU or just software update?

This must be going to find out the information which will be going to manage it in such a way where the user will get the support of CPU for Qualcomm that quick charge 3.0 has it.
