I am a noob at Android development.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand GT.i9082 running Android 4.1.2 for the last three years.
I have a Toshiba P300 laptop with Wn 7 32-bit and 4GB RAM with Android Studio whose "Minimum SDK" is set at "4.0.2".
I am starting the beginner tutorials from developer.android.com.
However, I am unable to "run" my beginner app because I am unable to set up my phone as a USB device as I cannot find the OEM Drivers for my phone model under the links provided
I am also unable to setup a Nexus virtual device because:my laptop/OS cannot run something called "VT-x".
I am unable to select any of the lower end phone models because my Android Studio apparently does not have Android below Nougat.
When I select to install Android Kitkat image, it aborts.
How can I rectify these teething problems and make progress?
All help will be appreciated.
