Huawei 8 Honor - How does this compare to the 7?

I've had a 7 for some time now and while it does everything I need it to (and more) i'm a bit of a magpie when it comes to shiny new things and have been looking at the Honor 8.

Also, I know this is the Android Pit, but it's always good to remain impartial to technology , so what are the main differences between the Honor 8, 7 and then a non-android competitor like cough Apple cough ?
